With the holiday coming up this week, there is a lot to look forward to — good food, friends and family, the summer sun, and fireworks!
The 4th of July is a big holiday for cooking out and grilling for many, so I wanted to make a couple of fun summer dishes that would be perfect for the July 4th celebration: Turkey Burgers with Chipotle Ketchup and Heirloom Tomato & Avocado Pasta Salad.
Both of these dishes are inspired from familiar summer cookout foods, but hopefully inspire a little change from the norm.
The pasta salad can be served in individual mason jars for a fun party twist, or just simply in a large bowl that everyone can get as much (or as little) as they please.
Both the burgers and the pasta salad are great for the summer season. They’re also great paired together because the spice that comes with the chipotle ketchup on the turkey burgers is tempered with the cool and refreshing pasta salad that has buttery avocado, juicy tomatoes and a cool sour cream buttermilk dressing.
I hope you’ll try the Turkey Burgers with Chipotle Ketchup and Heirloom Tomato & Avocado Pasta Salad.
