Basil Panini Title


  • (2) slices sourdough bread
  • (2) oz brie cheese — I used a goats milk variation
  • (¼) cup mini chocolate chips — can use less, or more, to taste
  • (5) basil leaves, chopped
  • (2) tbsp butter, divided


  1. Preheat a panini press to high heat while you prepare the sandwich (if you don’t have a panini press, you can heat a pan over the stove on medium heat while you prep)
  2. Spread the brie cheese evenly on one slice of the sourdough bread
  3. Add the chocolate chips and chopped basil leaves evenly over brie cheese
  4. Close the sandwich with the other slice of sourdough bread and set aside until ready for pressing
  5. When ready to press the panini, melt 1 tablespoon on each half of the press
  6. Place sandwich on press and close, grill for 10 minutes until cheese and chocolate has melted and bread is golden brown
