Cilantro Hummus

  • (1) can garbanzo beans (about 15 oz), drained
  • (⅓) cup sesame tahini
  • (1) lime, zested
  • (1) lemon, juiced
  • (1) tsp cumin
  • (2) garlic cloves, grated or pressed
  • (¼) cup water or juice from garbanzo beans can

Pita Chips

  • (4) pita pockets, cut into eighths
  • (2) tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • (1) tbsp kosher salt

Cilantro Hummus

  1. Add all ingredients into a food processor or blender
  2. Process or blend for about 10 minutes (this will vary on the power of your machine) until hummus is coarsely pureed
  3. Check for seasoning and adjust as necessary
  4. Serve at room temperature or chilled, with pita chips or veggies

Pita Chips

  1. Preheat oven to 375ºF
  2. Spread cut pita pieces on a baking sheet and drizzle with extra virgin olive oil
  3. Sprinkle kosher salt over pita pieces and mix around until evenly coated
  4. Bake in oven about 10 minutes, until pita chips are browned
  5. Allow to cool before serving
