- (1) lb roast beef, sliced thinly
- (4) steak rolls
- (1) tbsp butter
- (1) garlic clove, minced
- (1) white onion, sliced thinly
- (1) tbsp flour
- (3) cups beef broth
- (1) tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- (1) tsp sherry
directions.
- Heat a sauce pot over medium-high heat
- Once heated, add butter to pot and allow to melt
- Add onion and garlic to butter and sauté for about 5 minutes, until beginning to turn translucent
- Add flour to onion and garlic mixture, stir and cook for a minute
- Next, add beef broth, Worcestershire sauce and sherry and whisk
- Continue to cook sauce until it begins to boil, then remove from heat
- Add salt & pepper to taste
- Dunk roast beef in au jus sauce before placing into a sliced steak roll
- Serve immediately with a side of the au jus sauce for dipping
